Vin Diesel remembers Paul Walker at 2015 Teen Choice Awards, gives shout out to his daughter
It has been almost two years since Paul Walker died tragically in a car accident, but for “Fast & Furious” co-stars, he continues to be part of their lives. Vin Diesel remembered his late co-star and brother at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.
"We are a true, true, true family. You fans have been so incredible to us and have encouraged us and made us reach higher each time," Diesel said while talking about Walker and his family, according to E! Online. "One of the best blessings in our lives is that we have the opportunity to call Pablo a brother. Paul Walker is here with us in spirit.”
After saying that, the actor gave a shout-out to Walker's family, especially his daughter who was sitting in the audience. "Since this is a Teen Choice Award, there is one teen in the audience that is a part of the family that kept us going,” the actor said. "But there's one very, very special teen here and her name is Meadow Walker."
The crowd cheered loudly for the 16-year-old, though the camera did not capture her reaction. Meadow was living with her father at the time of his tragic death in 2013.
In addition to Walker’s co-stars, the fans too have been keeping his legacy alive. The late actor received their votes to win posthumous Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor: Action. Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris joined Diesel on the stage to accept the award on behalf of the late actor. And Diesel and his “Fast & Furious” cast took home the award for Choice Movie: Action.
