Vivo X5 Max With 4.75 MM Thickness Bags The World’s Thinnest Smartphone Title, Dethrones 4.85 MM Oppo R5
Currently, the Oppo R5 that was released recently is the world's slimmest smartphone. It is soon going to be dethroned by the Vivo X5 Max, which is still under the wraps. GSMArena claims that the Vivo X5 Max has a thickness of 4.75 mm.
Previously, we had reported the arrival of Oppo R5 as it bagged the world's thinnest smartphone title with a thickness of 4.85 mm thickness. The Gionee Elife S5.1 has a thickness of 5.1 mm. The Vivo X5 Max has reached TENNA certification body in China and because of which certain details on its specifications have been revealed.
According to GSMArena, The Vivo X5 Max has a thickness of tonly 4.75 mm. The handset measures 153.9 x 78 mm and weighs 146 g. The ultra-thin handset houses a huge 5.5-inch display screen. The display supports full HD resolution.
The forthcoming model from Vivo will be powered by an octa-core processor that can clock at 1.7 GHz alongside 2 GB of RAM. The primary camera of the Vivo X5 Max is of 13 MP, whereas the one placed above the display is of 5 MP. It comes with usual connectivity features like 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and microUSB.
GSMArena's Oppo R5 specifications states that the handset measures 148.9 x 74.5 mm and has a thickness of only 4.85 mm and weighs 155 g. It also features a 5.2-inch display screen.
As far as Gionee Elife S5.1 is concerned, NDTV states that the handset measures 139.80 x 67.4 mm and it has a thickness of 5.15 and it only weighs 100 g. It houses a 4.8-inch display screen. When the handset was announced, it was recognized by Guiness World Records for its thickness.
It is tough fight between the Chinese smartphone manufacturers to create slimmest handsets ever made. According to PhoneArena, Vivo is the first company to launch a handset with quad HD display.
The Vivo X5 Maxx is a variant of the Vivo X5, which came out with a thickness of 6.3 mm. Since the handset has been approved by TENNA, it will soon go live for purchase first in China followed by global launch.
