Watch: ‘Fast & the Furious’ Fan Set Ford Focus on Fire In Tribute to Late Paul Walker
Paul Walker's death certainly left an immense impact on the fans around the globe not only because he was a hunk and star of the most successful film franchise but due to his great acts of kindness, philanthropic initiatives and positive message he had spread throughout the globe. Recently, to pay tribute to the late star an anonymous motorist's sped up the engine of his Ford Focus approximately for half an hour which subsequently led to an explosion. The unpleasant incident occurred when some drivers had grouped in the car parking of a retail centre to pay homage to the actor but onlookers after noticing the car set on fire called the fire service.
A spokesperson for Track and Street Grampian released a statement: "We do not condone this behaviour but sadly there are people out there that think it's appropriate to act like this. The person involved sat on the rev limiter for 20 minutes, which is an inexcusable thing to do in any car. Due to excessive heat and stupid behaviour on his part, this car sadly went up in flames. It was his fault."
Myriads of fans have paid tribute to late Walker in many ways but this one dim-witted driver's attempt as a homage to the great star by was the most bizarre of all because of two reasons:
1. Awful incongruity of setting his car ablaze while paying homage to late "Fast & the Furious" star
2. How a Ford Focus could be mark of respect to a gear head and star of a high-octane super-successful film franchise "Fast & the Furious?" Plus how this vehicle could be of tribute to one actor known to have used classy and muscle cars like: BMW E39, Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Dodge Charger R/T, Mazda RX-7, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII, Porsche Cayman and many more.
Local councillors of Aberdeen city centre have rebuked the driver for this irresponsible act.
"I cannot understand the mentality of a person who would do a thing like that. It is extremely fortunate that whoever was doing the revving was not harmed. I just cannot understand why anyone would do such a thing. If the car belonged to the person who did this, then good - maybe they will have learned a lesson," said Councillor Andrew May.
"It is pretty ridiculous that someone was revving their engine for so long," stated Councillor Nathan Morrison
The "Fast & the Furious" enthusiasts should pay level-headed tribute to late actor so that his soul rest in peace in the heaven.
