Taylor Swift has made some subtle and shallow digs at Harry Styles when she accepted her VMA for Best Female Video (for her "I Knew You Were Trouble"), at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Taylor Swift, in her signature style being talked about but not about her amazing red carpet look or the fact that she swept the awards rather the buzz around is about how mean she was at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards to her ex boyfriend Harry Styles.

Swift was nominated in several categories for Sunday night's VMAs, including the top honor, Video of the Year, for her clip "I Knew You Were Trouble."

The very first award of the night presented to Harry Styles and One Direction, and while they were up on stage Taylor whispered to Selena Gomez “Shut the eff up.” apparently MTV’s cameras pointed to Taylor to capture this crucial moment. Watch below:

When Taylor went to accept her award for Best Female Video for “I Knew You Were Trouble” she said,

"Thank you. Wow. I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot, I really really wanted this," "I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!" she said in her acceptance speech.

"It's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is about is standing by the side of the stage watching," she told The Times of London magazine.

As we are all a bit shocked to hear Taylor Swift so deliberately diss Harry Styles at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Harry Styles already knew that after ended his relationship with Swift she would write a song based on their relationship as he told Us Weekly

"It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn't do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience," "I can't say I'd have dated someone less famous to avoid it."

"At least she's a great songwriter!"

Harry Styles explained how to sustain a romantic relationship being in the spotlight.

"I think relationships are hard enough, so I think you have to completely ignore everything from outside," he says. "When you're in the opening stages of a relationship as it is, you're still under the pressure of getting to know everything about a person. If you have a lot of people from outside telling you what it is and they don't even know you, telling you what your relationship is, that's weird. So I think you sort of have to block it out and just have the relationship rather than think - we're having this relationship play out on magazine covers."

Harry Styles lists a few things he wants in a girl.

Someone with a cute laugh and a good smile," he shares. "Someone you can have fun with - I like someone who's up for doing stuff in terms of like, trying new things and going out new places. Not just someone who does nothing and wants to sit around."
