On Jan. 30, 2015, Barcroft TV published their YouTube video titled "Baby Tiger And Dog Are Best Friends." The video shows a Bengal tiger cub that has become friendly towards a puppy at The Farm Inn Wildlife Sanctuary in Pretoria, South Africa.

The three-month-old Bengal tiger cub named Hunter and a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy named Chelsea accompany each other during playtime and daily walks. Hunter is reported to have behaved aggressively towards Chelsea in the beginning, but the two animals' relationship with one another have helped them to develop vital skills and hone their natural instincts as they wrestle and stalk each other playfully.

The video shows the unlikely companionss actively tackling and chasing each other on the grass bed within the The Farm Inn Wildlife Sanctuary grounds. 22-year-old student caretaker Anthea Michaletos explains that Hunter was rejected by his own mother at birth.

"We believe that Hunter was born at a time when the female must have felt compromised in some way as she rejected him. Her actions toward him were threatening his survival so we intervened for the greater of his well-being."

Chelsea was born just three weeks before Hunter's birth, and their bond seems to compensate for the tiger's yearning for his mother's company. However, Michaletos says that Hunter and Chelsea's partnership may be short-lived, as the tiger's developing natural instincts may cause harm to the dog eventually.
