"White Collar" stars Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay have returned for the TV series' brand new Season 5 as con man Neal Caffrey and FBI Agent Peter Burke. The two actors continue to tease and excite the fans on what will happen next as their characters deal with the major changes in their lives such as promotion and a new handler.

"Common Law" actor Warren Kole portrays David Siegel, Neal Caffrey's new handler, since Peter Burke got promoted as the head of the White Collar division. Actor Tim DeKay revealed that his FBI Agent character will go through mixed feelings while he hands Neal over to the new handler.

"Peter is excited with the direction of his career. Yet he realizes deep down inside that the best times he had at the bureau were when he and Neal were on the hunt. And so, to see another handler and the two of them doing the stake out and brainstorming together, it eats at him. And the other element is he misses - now he'll never say it - but he misses hanging out with his buddy. He misses that. Again, he'd never admit it, but he loves spending time with Neal," Mr DeKay shared in the TVFanatic interview.

Tim DeKay further teased that even though Peter Burke got promoted to a higher position in the bureau, viewers can still see his character stepping out in the field. "We get to see Peter pull some cons and go undercover," the actor guaranteed.

As for Matt Bomer's character Neal Caffrey, interest in his storyline seems to shift towards the return of his father since Neal was able to free Peter from jail after forging his father's recorded confession. "That was a storyline that I feel like needed to be fleshed out at some point. I think with someone like Neal, it's a little dangerous if we start to know too much about him," actor Matt Bomer stated.

According to the Examiner.com report, actor Treat Williams who portrays Neal's father in the TV series will not be returning in Season 5. Mr Bomer shared: "This season really gets back to more of the early season 'White Collar' mythology, strong themes of good versus evil and trust and without going into too much detail about his past. The sins of the father weigh pretty heavily into all the decisions Neal makes and sort of spur us into action this season. You feel that relationship even though it's not there."

"White Collar" Season 5 airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. on the USA network.
