Undoubtedly, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the best smartphones available in the market that you would like to purchase. The handset was launched with a contract price of $200. The Galaxy Note 3 runs on Snapdragon 800. Both 801 and 800 are essentially the same chipset with the former being slightly faster than the latter.

There are handful of well-known Snapdragon 800 processor powered smartphones in the market such as the Google Nexus 5, Galaxy Note 3 (LTE) edition, LG G2, Sony Xperia Z1, Sony Xperia Z Ultra ,Nokia Lumia 930 and Nokia Lumia 1520.

The Snapdragon 805 is an upgraded processor that is waiting to be unveiled. It brings new features like support for viewing 4K videos and photos on mobile devices, and support Adreno 420 graphics for watching higher resolution visuals and playing richer games. It will even allow users to take advantage of faster streaming with speeds up to 300Mbps.

So, the processor that sits under the hood of Galaxy S5 is not that powerful compared to the Snapdragon 805 chip that is speculated to come housed in forthcoming handsets like Samsung Galaxy S5 Advanced LTE, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Sony Xperia Z3, LG G3 Cat.6, and Google Nexus 6.

Attractive Galaxy S5 Deals to Appear Soon

Samsung will be concentrating more on promoting the Galaxy Note 4 which will arrive soon into the market. The iPhone 6 is slated to get unveiled on September 9. The Cupertino company is heavily speculated to reveal two iPhone 6 variants of 4.7inch and 5.5inch screen sizes powered with A8 processor and improved graphics and display resolution.

The Galaxy S5 is pegged to be made available at a cheaper price in order to make way for Galaxy Note 4. Even though it is available at a discounted price at Amazon and other retailers, we expect that there will be a significant price drop in a month or two. Even other smartphones like the LG G3, HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 are expected to undergo price cut.
