Wii prices drop in Australia
Australian Wii gamers are in for a treat as starting this June 2, 2011; the Wii in Australia and New Zealand will be retailing for only $199.95 and will now include a copy of Mario Kart Wii.
Nintendo announced the new bundle for Wii- as the Mario Kart Wii bundle. Wii will now come with the classic game Mario Kart Wii for only $199.95, a hundred dollars less from its previous retail price of 4299.95. Mario Kart retailed for $99.95. Unfortunately for Wii Sports fanatics, the game will no longer be bundled with the console and will sell separately for $29.95 in Australia. If you are more of a Mario fan this is the bundle for you.
Mario Kart is an iconic game that has been enjoyed by countless gamers for more than 17 years. Mario Kart lets you choose from a plethora of classic Mario characters to battle it out on a variety of race courses. Your friends and family can play Mario Kart Wii with up to four people or join the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and go up against 12 players from all around the world.
Wii also comes packaged with the intuitive Wii Wheel for Mario Kart so even inexperienced gamers can pick up the game and enjoy it with more experienced players. The Wii Wheel will now be available in black to go with the black Wii.
Other accessories included in the new bundle is a Nunchuk and a Wii Remote Plus- the original Wii Remote with a built in Wii Motion Plus. Wii comes in two colors, white and black.
Since it was released in April 2008 the Mario Kart Wii has sold more than 688,000 copies in Australia alone. All the prices are the suggested retail price in Australian dollars. Ask you local retailer for other bundles.
