Windows 10 For Phones: Leaked Images Of New Build 10038.12518 Surface
Microsoft may release a newer preview build of Windows 10 for phones in the near future. Fresh leaks indicate that developers at Microsoft are working on a new update with the build number 10038.12518.
The first Windows 10 for phones technical preview was released in February and now fresh rumours of the next build have surfaced. Leaked screenshots of the newer build have cropped up on the ITHome website from China. Neowin says that the Chinese site has a good track record on revealing accurate details on Windows 10 for phones before they are officially announced.
Win Beta says that the leaked screenshots suggest that the next build does not include extraordinary features. The build 10038.12518 comes with streamlined appeal, new black font, and a reworked phone dialer to name a few. One of the screenshots shows that users will be able to pin certain settings on the Start screen. The onscreen keyboard also includes new options such as voice input button, support for right-hand and left-hand use, keyboard sizes and so on.
As of this writing, there is no confirmation on when the build number 10038.12518 will be made available. Also, Microsoft has not confirmed whether the next build of Windows 10 for phones is 10038.12518.
When Gabriel Aul, the Engineering General Manager with Microsoft who also heads the Insider program for Windows 10, was asked on Twitter whether a new version would of Windows 10 for phones would be available for all the devices, he replied by saying that the next update will bring support more handsets.
The leaked images of the unreleased build of Windows 10 for phones do show that the improvements are aimed to towards enhancing the user experience. According to the official post on Microsoft website, only six Lumia devices namely, the Lumia 630, the Lumia 635, the Lumia 636, the Lumia 638, the Lumia 730 and the Lumia 830 support the first Windows 10 for phones with build number 8.10.142.19.341
