Windows 10 Will Come With 10 New Keyboard Shortcuts
Windows lovers will be excited to know that there will be a host of new keyboard shortcuts waiting to facilitate their lives with Windows 10. Microsoft has already started this overhauling process from Windows 8. Further extensions are due with the latest OS with an all new browser and improved interface.
Although most of the shortcuts remain the same, the new OS introduces 10 brand new shortcuts. Along with that there are a few more things that are new on Windows 10. Two new features of Windows 10 are specifically useful – improved Snap Assist and Virtual Desktops, according to CNET. The most important Windows 10 keyboard shortcuts that will help users to navigate smoothly through Windows 10 are mentioned below.
Snapping Windows:
- Snap window to the right side of the screen: Windows key + Right
- Snap window to the left side of the screen: Windows key + Left
- Snap window to a quadrant: After snapping the window left or right, Windows key + Up or Down
- Maximize window: Without snapping window left or right, Windows key + Up
- Minimize window: Without snapping window left or right, Windows key + Down
Virtual Desktop:
- Task view (view all virtual desktops): Windows key + Tab
- Create new virtual desktop: Windows key + Ctrl + D
- Move to next virtual desktop: Windows key + Ctrl + Right
- Go back to previous virtual desktop: Windows key + Ctrl + Left
- Close current virtual desktop: Windows key + Ctrl + F4
