Windows Phone 8.1 Update To Arrive For HTC 8XT Within This Month
The HTC 8XT which was released in June 2013 and made available exclusively by Sprint in U.S. was shipped with Windows Phone 8 OS onboard. HTC has confirmed that the HTC 8XT will receive the Windows Phone 8.1 update by the end of this month.
Through its Twitter handle, the Taiwanese tech company has revealed that WP 8.1 is coming to HTC 8XT before the year ends. PhoneArena claims that earlier this year, the handset was expected to receive WP 8.1 update by the summer. However, it did not come true.
The HTC 8XT Windows Phone 8.1 update will bring plenty of new features to the HTC 8XT. The new update will allow users to add a background image to the Start screen. The Cortana voice-assistant is one of the best features of Windows Phone 8.1 update. It can assist the users in making phone calls, send SMS, write notes and do many more things. As of now, Cortana is available in the U.S. and selected countries
The Files app will allow the users to conveniently access, search, copy, share, move and delete the files stored on the phone and SD card .The Wi-Fi Sense is a good feature that can automatically connect to open Wi-Fi networks and thereby saving the mobile data. All the notifications and the settings can be quickly accessed by swiping down the screen from the top.
The HTC 8XT is a CDMA handset that comes with a 4.3-inch screen supporting 480 x 800 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 400 processor which houses a dual-core Krait 200 processor which produces a processing speed of 1.4 GHz along with Adreno 305 graphics. The chipset is coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
The internal storage of HTC 8XT is 8 GB and it comes with support for up to 64 GB on its microSD slot. The main camera is of 8 MP whereas the frontal camera is of 1.6 MP. The handset is powered by 1800 mAh capacity battery. The HTC 8XT has an elegant appeal because of its violet coloured exterior.
