Even before the official availability of Samsung's latest flagship, the Galaxy S4, accessories for the Android smartphone are started coming, the latest of which is a wireless charging kit.

First published by Chinese web site CNMO, images of the S4 charging tool showed the elementary procedures in juicing up the yet-to-be released smartphone, which simply entails replacing the unit's original back cover.

The back plate will be replaced by a specially-designed alternative. Then to charge the handset, users only need to rest the phone on a charging plate, which is hooked up with a power outlet.

The cost of the entire charging package, composed of the back plate, the charging pad and the power cord, is $US49, the report said, adding that UK buyers will get the tool first once it becomes available on April 28 at the latest.

The kit's release data is in line with the UK rollout of the Galaxy S4, which Samsung said will happen starting April 22.

Wireless charging capability is among the powerful features that the South Korean tech giant has pledged it will introduced with the 5-inch JellyBean 4.2.2 device, which also showcased eye-tracking and gesture-sensitive controls.

Introduced with the Nokia Lumia 920 and the LG Nexus 4 in Q3 2012, wireless charging was repeatedly mentioned by Samsung as a premium function that will be added with the Galaxy S3. The company, however, never get around into fulfilling its vow.

Samsung fans were left to hope that the S4 will eventually deliver the convenient feature, which the handset but with a slight letdown - it is not available out of the box.

That would mean Galaxy S4 buyers need to wait out for the official Samsung accessory or rely on third-party providers to sell the compatible wireless charging kit that reports said adheres to the Qi standard.

The report did not offered details on the global availability of the new wireless charging kit or in the specific manner that consumers can access the product, whether it will be sold though online retail outlets or via brick and mortar mode.
