‘The Witcher 3’ patch 1.08 brings scaled up equipment fix and more
CD Projekt RED released patch 1.08 of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” Unlike other updates for “The Witcher 3,” the new patch is not so much focused on adding new content as it is on fixing some of the lingering issues that have remained in the game.
According to the official website of “The Witcher 3”, patch 1.08 was released to fix many of the bugs and issues caused by patch 1.07 when it was released for “The Witcher 3.” One of the notable problems in patch 1.07 gamers had to deal with was the scaled up level requirements for certain pieces of equipment. This led to some players having equipment that were unusable for their characters.
Once players have installed patch 1.08, they will be receiving an item called the Wolven Hour Potion. What this item does is lower the level requirements for all pieces of equipment for an hour. This would give players time to either try to level up so that they can meet the new requirements or to find different gear they can use. Once the effects of the potion have expired, the gear’s level-based requirements will go back to what they were.
The patch also fixes minor issues like the player being unable to compare their items with the ones merchants were selling. A whole slew of fixes to quest-based glitches have also been implemented to let players have a smoother play through of the game.
Also, the patch will also let the players achieve the Card Collector achievement, which requires them to attain a certain amount of cards. According to IGN, one of the essential purposes of patch 1.08 is to prepare "The Witcher 3" for the upcoming New Game Plus mode.
CD Projekt RED is yet to announce an official release date for New Game Plus. Players will simply have to keep on the lookout for that addition which will provide yet another long play through of the game.
