World Naked Bike Ride Organisers Tell Cyclist With Erection To Put Pants On
At a Naked Bike Ride event, cyclists are expected to be without clothes. Ironically, at the World Naked Bike Ride held at Canterbury, UK, on Sunday, a male participant was told to put on his jeans because he was aroused with all the nude bodies he saw and got an erection.
The police took the man’s details but no charges were filed against him. But the event organisers defended their action amid the negative reactions of people to the incident which resulted in the aroused man disallowed from joining the ride. Organiser Barry Freeman explains, “We do not accept this behaviour and he was dealt with and removed before the race started,” quotes News.com.au.com.
According to Daily Caller, non-sexualised nudity is legal in UK. However, sexualised nudity such as an erect penis could incur the ire of cops because it breaches the country’s local nudity laws.
In the 2014 World Naked Ride in Canterbury, another attendee was kicked out of the event. The reason was not because he had a hard on but because he didn’t have a bike.
The UK ride’s aim was to protest pollution caused by traffic and the health risks to cyclist. Similar Naked Bike Rides were held in other global cities, including Australia’s Melbourne and Sydney. In London, the Naked Bike Ride will be held on June 13.
