Worry-Free Sexting: Free Android App Can Delete ‘Hidden Sexy Pics, Images’ Created via Snapchat
Shortly after its launch, Snapchat became a rage for 'safely' permitting the wireless sharing of naked pictures and videos that self-destruct in seconds, providing a platform for mobile phone users to practice safe 'sexting'.
But soon enough, evidence emerged that the clips and images did not disappear into thin air. The files simply reside deep into handset' disk, waiting to be discovered by someone with sufficient hacking skills.
Experts claimed that by hooking up a smartphone into a PC and using 'exploring tools' these compromising files are easily accessed and naughty minds would have a field day doing whatever they want with the racy find.
Creators of such files, according to BGR News, have a new friend in Clean Master - a free and powerful application that allows users to search and destroy images and videos that show their moments of indiscretion.
"Users can access the area where Snapchat images are stored to manually clear them through either the Privacy or History functions," the report said. The app comes with a plain interface that only adds up to its simple and intuitive functions.
Anyone can download the app, install it in a breeze and become an instant expert on its beneficial features in no time, BGR added on its report.
Specifically, Clean Master zeroes in on Snapchat's .nomedia file directory, destroy its contents and "help ensure the privacy of users," the report said, quoting a key official of KS Mobile, maker of the application.
The software, however, failed to address one major concern - the obliteration of sexy videos and pictures stored on a receiver's handset.
Snapchat has assured that it immediately erases files coursed through its servers. However, it cannot claim the same for the files that successfully made their way to a given mobile phone, which according to experts are secretly 'saved for later use'.
