Steve Wozniak made the headlines when he reportedly said Apple should make an Android phone. In an interview with wired.com, the Apple co-founder reportedly said that Apple should invest on creating Android phones. However, recent information says that Mr Wozniak denies making such claims. Will Apple's Tim Cook consider an Android-based iPhone 6? What can the market expect?

Wired.com published a report about Mr Wozniak just recently. The report got a lot of attention because Mr Wozniak supposedly suggested Apple create a Android-based iPhone. "There's nothing that would keep Apple out of the Android market as a secondary phone market," Mr Wozniak said. The Apple co-founder no longer oversees the daily operations of the company.

"We could compete very well. People like the precious looks of stylings and manufacturing that we do in our product compared to the other Android offerings. We could play in two arenas at the same time," he added.

Mr Wozniak also talked about Apple as a company and its technology. He shared his thoughts on the company's product development and innovation:

"The great products really come from secret development," he said. "You put small teams of great people on them and they aren't bothered by other people commenting on what they're doing while they're doing it. A whole new category of products doesn't happen very often. It might happen once a decade. Sometimes you have to wait for one of those to come about," he continued.

The Apple co-founder also discussed about an operating system that can process independently - as seen on the computer in the movie "Her."

"A computer can execute a lot of instructions, but it can't solve simple problems unless you give it an approach, and the human comes up with the approach," he said. "We're storing ones and zeros with 8 electrons, and you just can't get much smaller than that," he later continued.

However, when reports started surfacing that Mr Wozniak suggested Apple create an Android phone, Gina Smith, writer of Mr Wozniak's biography thought something was off.

"It sounded wrong. So, I called Steve Wozniak, with whom I penned his biography iWoz: How I Invented the Personal Computer and Had Fun Doing It. Steve emphatically told me that the press had the story wrong," she said.

"They got it quite wrong for their own reasons ... I'm used to things like this, (where the media turns) 'could' into 'should'," replied Mr Wozniak's email, according to Tapscape.

"But the idea caught a lot of attention. It was just (my) independent idea ... I'm sure others have said it before, but I get more attention..." He added.
