WWE Update: Triple H Abandons Character To Console Crying Young Fan
Ever since the World Wrestling Entertainment ditched its TV-14 ratings, the hordes of young fans have pushed the brand recall of the outfit into greater heights. Young boys have been noticeably at the sidelines during the weekly Raw and Smackdown matches and from time to time something magical happens with these young followers.
The latest episode of Monday Night Raw was a living testament to how these young fans affect the talents as top heel and WWE Executive Vic e-President Paul “Triple H” Levesque broke character to console a crying fan on the sidelines. The image of Triple H appeasing the disheartened young boy made the rounds of Twitter that generated much publicity and respect for the long-tenured villain.
It is unclear what made the young fan so distraught that led him to cry. It could be that he is a huge John Cena follower who was tackling the hordes of Authority henchmen in Kane, Big Show and Seth Rollins including the power couple of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon intently awaiting the outcome on the sidelines. Still, it is amazing that the long recognized top heel of the business took the time to reach out to the fan.
"Turns out kid was crying — either scared by Triple H looking at him or from what was going on with Cena," wrestling fan Chris Olds who posted the images on Twitter told News.com.au. "Next thing you know, Triple H stands up and walks up to him to give him the small hug, brush his hair."
The consoling of the fan did not stop there as the young boy was even invited backstage and given some free merchandise such as shirts, wristbands, bandannas, and a hat, which he proudly showed back to his father, who accompanied him. It was fortunate that the boy sat behind one of the menacing personalities in the WWE, who showed the world he has a soft spot for distraught children, despite the façade he puts front and center night in and out of the ring.
Among all the blessings the fan got, the best one he received was when ring announcer Lilian Garcia congratulated him for his idol’s win. Triple H has not yet commented on why he broke character during the incident but many are lauding his display of his softer side which has generated positive buzz for the company and its talents.
