'X-Men: Apocalypse’ Production Finishes, Bryan Singer Shares Another Set Photo
The main production on “X-Men: Apocalypse” has been wrapped, director Bryan Singer announced via his recent Instagram post. The director shared a photo from the film’s set and captioned it, “That's s wrap on main unit. But still more to shoot over the next few weeks with second unit. But now...the wrap party! #xmen #xmenapocalypse.”
In the picture, crew members can be seen filming a scene and a glimpse of a woman can be observed in the production monitors. She looks to be standing in what appears to be an X-Men mansion. She can be seen dressed in a white jacket and black trousers.
Singer also shared the photo of a list of cocktails available at the film’s wrap-up party. The menu inspired by the film’s characters includes drinks called The Nightcrawler, The Mystique, The Angle and The Apocalypse. The title of the card reads as “X-Men: Apocalypse” Akkabra 2015.
The filming began in Montreal in April 2015 and since then, Singer has shared various behind the set images through his Instagram account. The film revolves around Egyptian villain Apocalypse played by Oscar Isaac. The film will be reportedly different from previous “X-Men” films.
Speaking to Yahoo Movies about the film, Singer said, “[You will see] some images and treatments of X-Men powers you’ve never seen before and some action and some pretty epic scope and some pretty major stakes. Like global stakes.”
The film will also feature younger version of a series of mutants including Angel and Storm. This will reportedly set the foundation for the characters. The official plot of the film is being kept under wraps. The star cast also consists of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lucas Till, Josh Helman, Lana Condor and Ben Hardy. Singer has directed the film from the screenplay by Simon Kinberg. John Ottman has supplied the music and it opens May 27, 2016.
