Rumours circulating about the Xbox One previously set its release during the holiday season of this year. But it seemed that shipping will be delayed for a few countries.

According to The Verge, the latest on this rumour was that the Xbox One will be delayed in eight areas from the original 21 on launch. This can only mean that before the year ends, only Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, New Zealand, Germany, UK, Ireland, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Austria and the U.S. will see the launch of the gaming device.

No details were announced, but the major reason presented by the report involved localisation issues as well as partnerships in certain features for the delayed areas.

As compensation, a pack-in game may ship along with the consoles for those in the delayed areas who have pre-ordered the console.

One rumour that was concretely shot down is the one previously reported by some Web sites that a No-Kinect bundle for the Xbox One will be made available.

"We 100% believe in Kinect--it's got some amazing potential that will be unlocked with this new generation," said Major Nelson, Xbox Community Manager, in a Reddit Q&A as reported by Gamezone. He also officially stated that there were no plans in rolling out Xbox One consoles without the Kinect.

This may break the hopes of those who are still looking at the possibility of slashing off a big portion of the Xbox One's price by removing the Kinect feature to put it at par with the PS4 bundle, though Microsoft already made efforts to deliver more for its Xbox One bundle.

The Xbox One headset will already come bundled with the Xbox One for the standard and Day One editions, which Microsoft previously said was impossible.

PS4: Solution for Stock Shortages?

Sony and retailers already confirmed that since August 6 onwards, any pre-orders for the PS4 may not arrive on Day One. But considering the update with the Xbox One consoles, this may still serve as an advantage to the PS4, mostly because it will be able to bask in the spotlight alone for a longer period of time in particular markets.

For the meantime, the pre-orders were being tempered in order to avoid failure to deliver as promised. Of course, some retailers continued to take pre-orders, with Pocket-Lint reporting that there is always the disclaimer that the pre-orders made post-August 5th are not assured of Day One delivery.

But for those who don't want to place pre-orders and want to risk retail selling at launch, Sony was also reported to have units allocated solely for retail store selling, but you can expect a long queue waiting with you.

'Awesomenauts' Heading to PS4 in Complete, Latest Version

Another game is coming to the PS4, and it's the multi-player online battle arena "Awesomenauts."

Already released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC, developer Ronimo Games confirmed via Twitter that the version that will be rolling out for Sony's next-gen would be the latest version to date.

"Our intention is to keep the PS4 version updated. However, this will rely on the game doing well enough and a lively community," according to Ronimo Games Twitter account.

The launch date is still kept secret by developers, though a PS4 trailer was already featured in their Twitter account.

The next question to ask would be, given that this is a multi-player online battle arena game, will this require gamers a PS Plus subscription to play with and against friends?
