Xbox One exclusive ‘Scalebound’ delayed to 2017
First revealed at E3 2014, Platinum Game’s Xbox One exclusive “Scalebound” instantly became one of the most anticipated games for Microsoft’s current-gen console. “Scalebound” was initially slated to be released sometime on the second half of this year, but it seems Xbox One players may have to wait a while longer to get their hands on the action-rolepaying game (RPG).
In an update posted on the official website of Platinum Games, several members of the development team announced that the game will not push through its initial 2016 release date. Instead, “Scalebound” is scheduled to be released in 2017, with the specific date yet to be announced.
“In order to deliver on our ambitious vision and ensure that Scalebound lives up to expectations, we will be launching the game in 2017,” the team wrote in an announcement. “This will give us the time needed to bring to life all the innovative features and thrilling gameplay experiences that we have planned.”
On the bright side, the team promises to reveal more of the game later this year.
“Scalebound” looks to be an ambitious game. The title will allow players to battle side by side a large dragon named Thuban. The gameplay videos show off a smooth action RPG that players are bound to enjoy, and the game looks visually stunning as well. Platinum Games also promised that it will provide players with an amazing experience when the game launches.
