Microsoft had announced at E3 that the highly anticipated Xbox One would be launching in 21 markets around the world. A recent press release by the company has now said that they are cutting the number to 13. Xbox One will be available by November in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand.

However, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland will have to wait till 2014. The company did not specify a date for the launch in these countries but said that it will launch it "as soon as possible."

The problems cited by the company are high demand and issues in localizing Xbox One in these markets. The issues include adding "additional voice and languages, and build partnerships to bring apps and meaningful local content to each country."

Xbox One is going to replace the Xbox 360 as the primary gaming console from Microsoft. The console comes with a host of features. The main feature is that it comes bundled with the Kinect 2. The feature allows the user to interact with the console much more efficiently using voice and hand gestures. This is perhaps the first feature a user can experience as the user starts the console by saying "Xbox on." Game enthusiasts who are reluctant to part with their old console due to their hard work in achieving high scores can now port their scores and Avatar et al from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

One problem gamers complain about is the need to be online to play single player games. In Xbox One a player need not be online all the time and can play games when not connected to the net.

The news of the launch of the new console comes at a time when Xbox 360, according to the official Microsoft blog, is celebrating its 31 consecutive months as the top gaming console in the U.S. The company is selling more than 107,000 units according to the report.

The company is expected to showcase a range of games at the gamescon, which is going to begin from Aug 21 in Cologne.
