Xbox One Updates and Plans: Family Sharing in the Future and July’s Deals with Gold
The Xbox One's July system update is focused on improvement of Snap and Achievements for a more immersive time spent on games.
However, one other feature that has been highlighted way back last year amid all the ruckus against the Xbox One-the Family Sharing feature-may be in works in the future.
Forbes reports that the Family Sharing feature was discussed by Xbox head Phil Spencer in a recent radio interview, and it seems that Microsoft has not yet forgotten this one praised feature.
"We looked at the digital features that we had talked about last year and as a gamer, there were a lot of those features that I think really resonated and were smart features for people who really have a lot of games and maybe play on a couple consoles or have bunch of people in the house or want to share with friends," said Spencer as quoted by Forbes.
"As I look at our monthly update roadmap, those kinds of features are in our roadmap."
The Family Sharing feature allows a group of players to share your digital games library. Sadly, given that the Xbox One did the infamous Xbox 180 after the fiasco, Family Sharing feature was pushed back alongside the always-online functionality of the Xbox One.
For now, there are no definitive announcements as to whether this new feature will be brought back to Microsoft's new console.
