Xbox One vs PS4: The Battle of Big Bang Launches; Social Web to Design Next-Gen Winner?
Xbox One made headlines recently when it announced its plans for launching the Xbox One console globally. With a synchronised and broadcasted way of inviting the world to get a glimpse of (and eventually buy and own) the consoles to keeping the first Xbox One unit guarded by sharks, Microsoft is really aiming to deliver its next-gen console with a bang.
However, Sony is not one to just sit back and be overshadowed, as it changes the face of the OXO tower to show off the iconic buttons on the DualShock 4 controller. As a teaser, @PSAccess tweeted, "Are those the PlayStation symbols going up on the OXO tower in London?"
Not only that, the eve of the PS4 launch date has also promised the reveal of another game that will be gracing the PS4 launch list. Gameranx reports that Sony has already given clues as to what the new game will be.
Aside from it being one of the biggest exclusives for Sony, the new game will also either be set in space or have something to do with space.
One interesting note is that Hideo Kojima has also tweeted in relation to the PS4 announcement, "'SPIKE TV' is one of the most popular cable TV channels in US. There'll be a shock PS4 related announcement that will blow your mind."
Fans have already started to speculate on what the game can be, and already, familiar titles have already sprung up. There's "Crash Bandicoot," "Jak and Daxter," "Colony Wars," "Dino Crisis" and even "Gears of War."
Another possibility that was related to Kojima (given his tweet) is the "Zone of the Enders" franchise, where he served as the creator of the game.
Any thoughts on what the new game can be?

The Battle of the Next-Gens Now Online
Even as the PS4 launch is already here and the Xbox One's just a week away, the fight for attention and hype is still ongoing on the social media platform.
Forbes has gathered some data on the social media aspect of the PS4 vs. Xbox One battle in order to see just how far the online world has taken the rivalry, and what kind of influence it has on potential buyers.
Obviously, the discussion and presence in the social media are fueled by the different news, announcements and reports attributed to the two consoles. For one, the very start of the rivalry during the E3 has put the PS4 at a more advantaged position, since the Xbox One was viewed as very constricting and wishy-washy (after the policies were upturned).
"Diablo III" gets a number of exclusive features meant for the PS4: Read more here.
Progressing through the months and announcing game exclusives, additional features and retracting some statements, Forbes' report shows that the PS4 is still in the lead, with 62% of the mentions (or 1,100,327 individual mentions) attributed to it, while the Xbox One only has 669,850 mentions, which roughly translates to 38% of total mentions.
It can be said that the first impression that the Xbox One held over its customers and even the supposed good Xbox 180 move were not able to sway people from appreciating the brand more than the PS4.
As far as figures go, the viral survey for the PS4 and Xbox One care of xboxonevspsfour.com, those who voted for the PS4 as their choice of console were 186,433 or 71.51% as of writing, while the Xbox One got 74,267 votes or 28.49%.
Ultimately, the Xbox One's biggest push to sale is its lineup of games and exclusive, something that seems to trump the PS4 despite the number of free indie games and main indie titles that it has.
But Sony is still holding on to its reputation of being the company that listens to consumers by trying to find ways to put the MP3 features back in the new console, and it still has a good chance against the Xbox One.
