The latest in the string of flaks that Microsoft has been getting for the Xbox One, which involved the forfeiting of licenses for games for Xbox Live accounts that have been banned, it seems that Microsoft may have subtly withdrawn the comment.

In a report by CinemaBlend, the original article posed the question asked via Twitter, "If my Xbox Live account was banned, would I continue to have access to my Xbox One games?"

The official response was, "If your account is banned, you also forfeit the licenses to any games that have licenses tied to it, as listed in the [Terms of Use."

Given the clarity of both the question and the response, there was no doubt about the implication. However, be it muddled sources or just the lack of information, the statement was retracted, stating that it was in reference to the Xbox 360.

Tech2 also reported that in an online interview by Reddit Games, Microsoft's Major Nelson stated clearly when asked the same question, "Absolutely not. You will always have access to the games that you purchased. Absolutely not."

Since this is the most recent of responses regarding the issue, and with Nelson's standing in the company, let's hope that this is the final word on the matter.

Wired headset gets you ready for next-gen experience

It's expected that you'd want to experience your new Xbox One/Xbox 720 console the moment you get it, and this time, Microsoft ensures that you'll be prepped for the long and hard gaming experience.

GameSpot reports that Microsoft has unveiled the accessory headset designed for the Xbox One. Though sharing a similar design with its predecessor for the Xbox 360, this headset has been structured for long hours of gaming and clear voice chats.

What's more, to not distract you from an immersed gaming experience, the controls for the mute and volume on the headset can easily be accessed via controller, so it will be a full hands-always-on gaming.

Aside from the headset, there is also a report for a new play and charge kit exclusively for the Xbox One controller, which allows for long-lasting batteries, which can be recharged to reach maximum charge in under four hours.

What's more, those who can't tear away from the game will be happy to know that you can recharge while playing or when the Xbox One is on standby mode.

PS Plus subscription: What you get beyond PS4

So what do you get if you don't subscribe to the PS Plus? There's still a lot to be had, starting with access to TV and online movie services, social features for PS4 is also not gated by the subscription, reports Computer and Video Games.

Those who are worried about frequent updates, which were problematic for the PS3 will also be accessible for those who do not subscribe.

What you would be missing though are free content for all three consoles, PS3, PS Vita, and the PS4, as the subscription will not apply for freebies for PS4 alone.

According to VG 24/7, at launch for the PS4, PS Plus subscribers will already get a free version of DriveClub. Some of the bonuses have not yet been announced, but there are surely a lot more in store, as Sony continues to strive for a balance between giving great value and content and earning enough to make sure that the previously promised will be delivered.

For those who are still not convinced of the value, IGN adds that there are already MMO free-to-play games that are outside the reach of the subscription, starting with the two newest additions, DC Universe Online and PlanetSide 2, as well as Blacklight: Retribution and Warframe.
