As September rolls in, Microsoft has finally announced the free games coming for those with an Xbox Live Gold account. This month, there are some interesting choices for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 players.

Major Nelson announced over his blog that there will be new games each for the two Xbox platforms. For those playing on the Xbox One, "Super Time Force" will take the place of "Strike Suit Zero" from the August list, while Crimson Dragon will still be available as a free download.

On the Xbox 360, "Monaco: What's Yours is Mine" is available until Sept. 15, while Sept. 16 to 30 will see "Halo: Reach" as a free download.

Fifth Map For 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection" Explored

Microsoft has revealed the fifth re-imagined map coming to the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Titled "Lockout," the newest map will put you in the freezing location of Delta Halo, where you will enjoy close quarters combat and jumping points for securing weapons and setting up ambush.

"We're thrilled to be bringing this fan-favorite back, and are paying close attention to the details and subtleties that made the original great while also making a couple of very careful, very calculated enhancements," Max Hoberman, Certain Affinity president and lead designer of 'Halo 2' to Xbox Wire.

Even as a re-imagined map, the source states that even long-time and diehard fans of the franchise will find pleasant surprises in the new map. One of these can be found in the walkway connecting the sniper tower to the grav lift, which can be used to entrench enemies. Since this is just an enhancement feature, the creators of the map have also highlighted the fact that it can be disabled, in case you prefer to have the original experience instead.

'Halo 5: Guardians' Details Obtained from Comic

It seems that "Halo 5: Guardians" is more than just the videogame coming out after the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection." The story does take a few hints from the comic book for "Halo 5."

For those who are sharp enough to catch it, there is a crack in Master Chief's helmet when the trailer was first shown, and this has been explained in the comic book. According to Gamingbolt, the reason for the crack is Master Chief's face-off with the Didact.

In an attempt to attack the Didact, the plan backfires on Master Chief, as he is grabbed face-first, hauled into the air and brought back to the ground with a crash loud enough to crack the helmet armor. With the inter-related stories of the different "Halo" media, it may be interesting to see how these will affect the videogame altogether.
