China-based Xiaomi continues to give top tech manufacturers a run for their money as the company announced shipping more than 10 million units of its Mi-3 device. More importantly, the company has decided to offer a new champagne gold version with hints of Xiaomi Mi-4 coming soon. Can the company come up with a more killer device to dominate more markets and products?

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak acknowledged Xiaomi previously pointing out its competitive potential. According to Wozniak, Xiaomi can compete in the US market if it continues to offer similar smartphones or promises to bring better performing phones. The company is already well on its way with the Mi-3 gaining positive reviews.

Wozniak's observations appear true as the company reportedly shipped 10 million units. Xiaomi hit the 10 millionth-mark around the same time it introduced the new Champagne Gold series. The company first introduced the device in September 2013. The device has also been available in four regions: Singapore, China, Philippines and Malaysia.

According to Xiaomi's announcement, the company has been ""working very hard to bring it to more countries!" If it can offer to more regions then it is possible for Xiaomi to drive more sales challenging top market players. As for the Champagne Gold color Mi-3, it offers 16B storage. The device starts at $240 or at RMB 1499.

The original Xiaomi Mi-3 runs on a 1.8GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor offering 2GB Ram, 13MP primary camera and 64GB storage. It also has a 8.1mm case and 3050mAh battery.

The company's president also uploaded a teaser on his Weibo account suggesting that the Xiaomi Mi-4 could be released sometime this month around July 22. The teaser does not offer much but it does feature a device with a '4' label plus a brushed metal background. There have been reports saying that the next Mi-4 may feature LTE support.
