Xiaomi Mi Note 2 release date, news & update: November release hinted by tech analyst
Xiaomi recently announced the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus handsets and they are expected to hit shelves in October.
Reports claim that he Chinese mobile maker may also release the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 soon. The device could be made available in two variants, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Mi Note 2 Pro.
As per The Bitbag, Tech analyst Pan Jiutang claims that the company will be announcing the Mi Note 2 devices in October with multiple colour options. They will be released by the end of November.
Rumours suggest that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and may have two internal storage options, 128GB and 256GB.
The 128GB UFS 2.0 flash storage could be equipped with 6GB RAM whereas the 256GB storage variant may have an 8GB RAM.
Earlier it was reported that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 handset would feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED dual-edge curved display, pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 and 12MP rear camera with either Sony’s IMX260 or the Samsung S5K2L1 sensor.
However, fresh reports suggest that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have a 5.7-inch display and 13MP rear camera. This means the Mi Note 2 Pro will have a larger display though details have not been confirmed yet.
Moreover, nothing is known about the secondary camera specifications though a 4MP selfie shooter has been tipped. An 8MP secondary camera could be incorporated in the Mi Note 2 Pro.
However GSMArena has provided bit different specs for the two devices. It states that the Mi Note 2 Pro will have a 4GB RAM for a 64GB built-in storage variant and 6GB RAM for the 128GB of UFS 2.0 flash storage built-in.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
