Currently, the Xiaomi smartphone with the most powerful specs is the Mi Note Pro. The preorders of the handset are going to start on May 6 and it will be priced around $533.

In January this year, Xiaomi had announced two flagship phablets namely, the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro. Xiaomi had only made the Mi Note available for purchase but its powerful sibling is expected to go on sale very soon. The CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun’s recent post on his Weibo account states that the Mi Note Pro preorders will begin on May 6, reveals Gizmo China.

As of this writing, it is not known whether the preorders units will be immediately shipped to the customers or not. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and the LG G Flex 2 were the first smartphones to come with the controversial Snapdragon 810 chipset. The SoC has been infamously known for its overheating issues. The specs of the device are good enough to take on other flagships of this year.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro features a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen supporting a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Snapdragon 810 SoC is supported by a whopping LPDDR4 4 GB of RAM. The SoC houses a 64-bit octa-core processor along with Adreno 430 graphics. The internal storage of the device is 64 GB. However, it does not feature external microSD storage support.

The Mi Note Pro is equipped with a 13 MP camera enabled with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) feature whereas the 4 MP Ultrapixel front camera is capable enough for snapping good quality selfies and for performing video chats.

The monstrous device comes preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop overlaid with the proprietary MIUI 6 software. It is a dual SIM handset that supports peak download speeds of 450 Mbps through its Cat.9 LTE modem. Lastly, it is powered with a huge 3,000 mAh battery. As far as the exterior of the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is concerned, it is constructed with metal and glass that gives it a premium appeal.
