Display, Exterior and Size

The OnePlus One comes with a LG G3-like 5.5-inch LTPS LCD display, whereas the Xiaomi Mi4 features a relatively smaller 5.0-inch IPS LCD display. In addition, the OnePlus One comes bundled with a good screen resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels with 401 ppi pixel density. Also, the OnePlus One runs on the unique combination of Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS with CyanogenMod 11S UI, while the Xiaomi Mi4 runs on Android v4.4.3 KitKat OS with MIUI. When it comes to memory, both the phones offer 16 GB and 64 GB of internal storage with no microSD card support.

Camera and Battery

Both the phones sport 13 MP rear-facing cameras with dual-LED flash. When it comes to secondary camera, the Xiaomi trumps OnePlus with a surprisingly good 8 MP camera, while the OnePlus One houses a 5 MP front-facing shooter.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi4 houses a solid Li-Ion 3080 mAh battery unit, whereas the OnePlus One comes with a similar Li-Ion 3100 mAh battery unit. Both the batteries are not user-replaceable.

Both the phones come equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi Direct, LTE and Wi-Fi hotspot support. However, the difference comes in the form of Bluetooth connectivity. The OnePlus One goes one step further and supports Bluetooth v4.1, while the Xiaomi Mi4 supports Bluetooth v4.0.

Besides, both the phones support NFC. While the Xiaomi handset supports Infrared port, the OnePlus One doesn't. In addition, the handsets come equipped with micro-sim holder. The OnePlus One 16 GB with 4G LTE is priced at AU$479.95 in Australia, while the Xiaomi Mi4 variant will be priced at US$399 (roughly translates to AU$424) at this point.
