Two new smartphones from Xiaomi may have received certification from TENAA, the regulatory body from China. Rumours are suggesting that one of the smartphones is the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 3 smartphone

According to Mobi Picker, the Xiaomi Mi 2015811 handset that had received 3C certification in November has now been approved by TENAA. Even though the TENAA listing does not reveal the exact name of the handset but has only revealed some of its key specs, speculation is rife that the handset will be released in the market as Xiaomi Redmi 3.

The TENAA listing of the purported Redmi 3 has revealed that it will be arriving with a 5-inch TFT display that will carry support for HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The handset will be driven by 1.5 GHz processor that will be supported by 2 GB of RAM.

The handset will arrive preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and it will feature an internal storage of 16 GB. The rear-facing camera of the Redmi 3 will be of 13 MP or 8 MP whereas the front-facing camera will be of 5 MP. The connectivity features of the smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The alleged Redmi 3 measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 143 grams. It will be launched in colour options like silver, gray and gold. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation from Xiaomi on the alleged Redmi 3 smartphone.

There is no rumour on the alleged name of the second Xiaomi device that has been approved by TENAA, Android Headlines reported. It carriers a moniker of Mi 2015812 and is said to be a larger smartphone than the Redmi 3.

Its specs include a 5.5-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 808 SoC and 2 GB of RAM. It features an internal storage of 16 GB and its rear camera will be of 13 MP or 8 MP. On the front, it will be housing a 5 MP shooter.

The Mi 2015812 handset will be come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS preinstalled. It will come with same connectivity and colour options like the Mi 2015811 handset.
