Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro 2 leaked images show aluminum back and sleek design
Xiaomi has launched one premium handset after another
Xiaomi's Redmi Note 2 Pro specs were recently leaked online. Based on what was revealed, it appears the Chinese tech giant's upcoming phablet flagship will feature a premium, full metal body and a fingerprint scanner.
The company has been on the rise -- slowly but inevitably -- as it launched one premium handset after another. What made Xiaomi's products even more attractive to potential buyers is that its wearable devices, tablets, phablets, smartphones and other types of gadgets are of high-end stature but attached to affordable price tags.
Although its toughest competitor, Huawei, has managed to take the No. 1 spot in China smartphone market, the top nine Android units in-demand from Chinese gadget users were all manufactured by Xiaomi, as Tech Times pointed out.
Xiaomi's Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to launch in two different versions. Unfortunately, it seems only one of these versions is going to feature a fingerprint scanner.
With regards to its specs, the phone is also expected to sport pretty much the same ones featured in its predecessor, the Redmi Note 2, according to Mobile Dad. What makes this upcoming model different is that it’s clad in a premium, all-metal body -- in addition to the fingerprint reader.
The Redmi Note 2 Pro will come out with a 5.5-inch full HD screen with 1,080p and 401 ppi. It will also have a MediaTek MT6795 SoC, which means that it will sport an Octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and a PowerVR G6200 GPU, as well as 2 GB of RAM.
Plus, its features will also include a 3,060 mAh battery, a 13 megapixel primary camera, a 5 megapixel selfie snapper, 32 GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot.
This upcoming unit is expected to cost more than its predecessor. Considering that it’s a product from Xiaomi, consumers are pretty sure its price will be kept within budget-friendly parameters.
