Xiaomi is already selling a 7.9-inch Android tablet with Tegra K1 processor called Mi Pad. Gizmobic has come across GFXBench benchmark reports of a new Xiaomi tablet. The specifications of the tablet have been revealed.

According to Gizmobic, the leading Chinese OEM is working on a new 9.2-inch tablet that comes with HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The Xiaomi Mi Pad which sports a 7.9-inch screen supports a higher resolution of 1,536 x 2,048 pixels. Hence, PhoneArena is stating that the new tablet from Xiaomi will be a low-cost device.

The GFXBench benchmark reveals that the tablet is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor that delivers a clocking speed of 1.2 GHz. It is coupled with Adreno 306 graphics and 1 GB of RAM. The tablet is listed as Xiaomi 2014811.

The internal storage of the unreleased Xiaomi tablet is 8 GB out of which 5.8 GB will be available for users for storing data. Other than the information mentioned here, the benchmark does not reveal other details such as the camera of the device. Since the details on the camera have not been listed, Android Headlines claims that device may not feature any camera.

According to GSMArena, the alleged Xiaomi tablet comes with a SIM card slot and it comes with couple of other connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Gizmobic states that tablet will come preloaded with Android v4.4.4 KtiKat. Even though the specifications revealed by GFXBench claims that the tablet features KitKat edition of Android, PhoneArena claims that the new Xiaomi tablet will arrive with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard.

According to Android Headlines, the Android OS on the device will be overlaid with MIUI OS by Xiaomi. Xiaomi is known for selling high-end smartphones at affordable prices. The Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet that came out in May this year is priced at $240 that features impressive specs. Then what about the low-end tablet which is currently under the wraps? It would probably arrive with a cheaper price tag, states Liliputing. It may come out with an affordable price tag and it will be aimed towards emerging markets.
