Sony's latest device, the Xperia Tablet Z, will be put up on sale in May 2013. Sony revealed in a statement that the company has always planned the May launch and the Sony UK pre-order page currently shows the release dates of May 28-20 for the Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

Initially, the predicted release date of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z was in the middle part of April. UK retailers dismissed the release date rumors and claimed that the tablet will in fact arrive before the month of May ends.

Later on, Sony confirmed that upcoming May release of the Xperia Tablet Z. The company created the Xperia Tablet Z based on the Sony Bravia 2 engine and a full HD experience will be offered to the tablet owners.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a weight below 500 grams and a thickness measurement of 6.9 mm which makes the device the lightest and thinnest tablet in the market.
