Popular video sharing site Youtube announced its new feature that allows users to convert videos to 3D.

Youtube account holders may make use of the "Edit Info" button on an upload's "Watch" page and will see the option that enable them to convert new and uploaded videos to 3D.

Google noted that there has been an increase of 3D videos uploaded on the web. However, the videos are seen differently in various gadgets due to incompatibility of the device. Youtube's product manager Jonathan Huang said the website would like to dismantle the aforementioned barriers.

Viewers will see a small red "3D" button on the bottom right of the screen with options different types of colored glasses, monitors or televisions and as plain old two-dimensional video, or even in black and white, useful when content color matches glasses colors.
