Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are tipped to be launched sometime before the MWC 2016 at a dedicated Samsung Unpacked event in February. A fresh report has landed which confirms the screen sizes of the aforementioned handsets.

Napidroid posted a screenshot of a Zauba database entry showing two devices with model number SM-G930R4 and SM-G935R4 belonging to the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, respectively. The listing also mentions the screen sizes of the much awaited smartphones - the Galaxy S7 will sport a 5.1-inch display, whereas the S7 Edge with a curved-edge will feature a 5.5-inch screen.

For those who don’t know, Zauba tracks India’s imports and exports, and have proved to be authentic in the past in confirming key specifications of upcoming devices. It is noteworthy that Samsung has global development and testing centres in India. The Zauba listing seems to have reflected the details of the Galaxy S7 testing units to arrive in India from Samsung’s home country.

This information exactly corresponds to a previous listing of the device on AnTuTu benchmark tests. Earlier this month, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge appeared on AnTuTu with 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch display screens. The benchmark listing also revealed key camera configurations of the handsets.

Other key features and specifications of the Galaxy S7 lineup includes a 12-megapixel main camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor. Samsung will apparently use a large 1/2" sensor to complement the lower resolution camera in the Galaxy S7. The camera will supposedly have an aperture of f/1.7, allowing low-light photography.

The Galaxy S7 will be shipped with two different processors depending on the region of release. The upcoming flagship line-up will have handsets powered by both Samsung Exynos 8890 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipsets.

A massive 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage are also expected to be part of the device. With the Galaxy S7 series, Samsung is rumoured to bring back a microSD card slot for memory expansion. Speculations say Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will run the handset.
