Zayn Malik Leaves One Direction World Tour: Singer Also Blasts Cheating Rumours On Twitter
Zayn Malik is reportedly heading back to Britain in the middle of a world tour due to stress. The member of the boy band One Direction will not perform with his bandmates for sometime. The rest of the boys will perform without Malik for their "On the Road Again" tour in Philippines and Indonesia in the coming week.
The boy band's publicist Simon Jones said Thursday that Malik “has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate," ABC news writes. On Wednesday, an extremely upset Malik took to Twitter to express his love for his fiancee Perrie Edwards of The Little Mix band after he was spotted holding hands with a girl fan named Lauren Richardson in Thailand.
Hollywood Life posted pictures of Malik with Lauren and added that the two partied at a nightclub. Though Lauren appears to be a just a fan of Malik, she is pictured holding hands with him and enjoying his company. After Malik's pictures appeared with Lauren on Internet, 'Zerrie' or fans of Perrie and Zayn's relationship, took to Twitter and blasted the singer for cheating on his fiancee. #Zerrie started trending on Twitter and his fans assumed that Malik and Perrie have broken-up.
Following the Twitter meltdown from 'Zerrie' fans, Malik apologised to his fiancee Perrie on Twitter and blasted the cheating rumours. “I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous fucks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x,” wrote Malik on his Twitter account on Thursday.
Malik's departure to Britain comes just one day after his Twitter post. It is not sure if the two incidents are related or not. Apart from troubles on the personal front, Malik and fellow band member Louis Tomlinson are also facing a U.S. $5,000 “weed bond” in Philippines, according to The Associated Press. If the two singers indulge in the use of illegal drugs in the Philippines, their money will be forfeited, according to the bond.
