The wait for “Grand Theft Auto V” on PC has been an agonising one for fans, with the PC version delayed multiple times already. A newly released batch of screenshots will do little to ease the wait, but they will at least remind PC gamers that they’re getting by far the best-looking version of the game.

The barrage of 4K screenshots have been posted on the official Rockstar Games website and show off the stunningly rendered beauty of Los Santos. Much like Bethesda’s vaunted “Elder Scrolls” games, the PC versions of “GTA” have typically benefited from a long shelf-life, thanks to the creativity and dedication of the modding community. Gamers will no doubt be looking forward to updating models, replacing textures and modifying graphical features using Boris Vorontsov’s popular ENB mod with “GTA 5.”

Fans will also hope that “GTA 5” on PC launches without significant issues. When the game was delayed for the first time this year to March 24, a statement on the Rockstar website indicated that the team was working to polish the game and test for bugs. Following this, the game was delayed yet again, finally pushed to its new release date of April 14.

“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans,” read the statement.

As previously reported, Rockstar is still busy at work on patching and fixing issues with the console versions of the game, having recently released the long-awaited online heists mode. Heists, which feature four players working together to achieve a multi-mission objective, have proved extremely popular with console gamers and PC fans will be happy to know that they’re included with the PC release.

The PC version of “Grand Theft Auto V” will be released on April 14, pending any further delays by Rockstar. As noted by Eurogamer, the PC version supports full 1080p gameplay at 60fps, and resolutions as high as 4K. The PC version also supports triple monitor configurations for maximum immersion, and comes with the Rockstar Editor, allowing gamers to edit and publish gameplay clips to the Social Club and YouTube.
