After some lull time, “Minecraft” is getting a few updates from the developer. Developer for console versions 4J Studios has detailed some new changes and additions in the latest patch 1.15 for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita versions of “Minecraft.”
The PS4 and PS3 versions have the following fixes coming. These are also just in time for the Texture Pack and Mass-effect mash-up pack:

The PS Vita version has similar fixes, save for the one on split-screen problems. The “Minecraft Xbox One Edition” and the “Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition” both have small bug updates, specifically containing the fixes for split-screen issues, graphic corruption and game crashes related to player fishing and Wither creation.
Microsoft has also announced that the Pattern Texture Pack is now out for the Xbox platforms. The new pack will bring a lot of colours patterned differently to brighten up the “Minecraft” world. According to Major Nelson, the pattern can also be applied to people and to animals, which oddly enough make them look like themed dolls and piñatas ready for the party, respectively.
The “Minecraft” Pattern Texture Pack is available for $0.999, and also features a pattern-themed UI and stylized texture. These can be applied to either new or existing “Minecraft” worlds. The link here provide a few more screenshots for those who want to see how they can experiment with and apply the patterns in their worlds.
PlayStation players also have something got look forward to. The PlayStation Blog has recently announced the availability of the “Minecraft” Mass Effect Mash-up Pack, which debuts alongside the Pattern Texture Pack. The latter pack is priced similarly as those for the Xbox platforms.
But for the “Mass Effect” Mash-up pack, “Minecraft” players can get it at £3.29/€3.99. Getting this mash-up pack will enable players to explore the Mars Facility taken from “Bioware’s Mass Effect 3” or even create their own worlds with the “Mass Effect” theme. There will be a similarly-themed UI and menus, 36 character skins and 22 music tracks available for the DLC.
