The Elder Scrolls Online has become a much-awaited MMO game, and it is not only because of the prestige of the likes of Skyrim received. For some time now, a closed beta testing has been underway, with many more in the future, considering the invites that are still being rolled out time and again.

To refresh your memory (if you are a big fan) or to get you interested in The Elder Scrolls, here are four things that you can look forward to in the game.

Coming to Xbox One and PS4, price drop for Xbox Microsoft console?

Following the end of the legend of Skyrim on the current gen with Dragonborn being the last DLC, Skyrim fans were disappointed that the end was already here.

But following the closing of one adventure is the opened doors of another, as Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls Online coming to consoles during the E3 2013 at Sony's conference. According to VG 24/7, the game is set to launch on the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One and the PC in 2014.

Part and parcel of the game coming to Xbox One is the $15 monthly subscription that Zenimax has announced at Gamescom. This is separate from the other fees incurred for having an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which can make for a very expensive then-free-to-play game.

But the news circulating recently is that Bethesda has been in talks with Microsoft regarding the issue, in hopes of abolishing the subscription fee for the game, reports Massively.

The fee has actually spurred some fans to create petitions to remove the monthly fee, such as this one, which was petitioned by Clay Crowther.

The PS4 version of the game has not yet announced any fees associated with The Elder Scrolls, though Sony has already announced that some of its multiplayer games will be left to the decision of the publisher in terms of the fees included for playing.

Customisations to be available

iDigital Times previously reported that in the Q&A section of The Elder Scrolls website, the developers have revealed that players will have the chance to alter the look and feel of the characters in the game.

The ongoing beta for The Elder Scrolls Online, however, does not seem to reflect his new change. There is also talk about limiting realms to Cyrodiil, in the hopes of taking away griefing problems without limiting your chances of engaging in combat with other players.

So far, there have not been any more updates regarding the game, though the closed beta is still heavily continuing.

More gameplay leaks

Ever since the closed beta testing has been in effect for the Elder Scrolls Online, a number of leaks have made it to the web, with one in April being shown off by a user.

Now, AusGamers reports that a new leak was found, this time showing off a 10-minute footage of the game. This is reportedly a video of the snowy Skyrim region, and has since then been taken down and re-uploaded by users on the Internet.

Currently, Reddit is the hotspot of these reuploads, though most of them have been taken down by Zenimax.

One interesting video, however, is from SKiiTs8, who claims to have seen the video footage before it was taken down. In his video the footage that you see is the old gameplay, but he discusses most of the points that have been leaked in the new one.

According to him, there were some spoilers in the gameplay, which have started a heated debate among fans. One point that sKiiTs8 brought up is that the gameplay may have made the game look bad. But one explanation for this is the player who leaked the video may not have played as well as he should have.

Still based on the leaked gameplay, another point was that the animations were not clearly showcased in the game. According to sKiiTs8, the gameplay did little justice in terms of showing off the animations, which made it look average at best.

The supposed negative view that the leaked gameplay has brought about may not be at all true, considering that those who were able to get their hands on The Elder Scrolls Online at either Gamescom or PAX Prime say otherwise.

Gamezone's review showcases a slew of positive comments, ranging from attention to detail of the worlds to a unique leveling system for character and skills.

September 10 anthology release

At QuakeCon, Bethesda has announced that September will be the month for the release of The Elder Scrolls Anthology, which is basically a complete collection of all the games for the PC version.

Insider Gaming Daily reports that anthology will have the five games, seven DLCs, and five physical maps of the five games--all for $79.99.

Five games, five maps, and seven DLCs.

Expect the anthology on September 10, but this is mostly for the real diehard fan of the PC version. The console versions will probably come in the form of The Elder Scrolls Online.
