Some great free-to-play games are now available on Google Play Store for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and other Android devices, starting with the much-awaited "Plants vs. Zombies 2." Here are the top five free games that you can enjoy over the weekend.

'Plants vs Zombies 2'

The long wait is over for Android and Samsung Galaxy S4 users, as "Plants vs Zombies 2" finally graces the Google Play Store for download. "Plants vs. Zombies 2" has finally arrived for Android also as a free-to-play gaming app.

The game from Electronic Arts is pretty much a port of the one found in the iOS version, with the same gaming mechanics and practices. It differs from the first "Plants vs. Zombies" game in that it is a free-to-play offering on the mobile, has three worlds where you will battle a number of zombie waves and there are many kinds of power-ups to be found.

For those who are getting the game this week, Android is offering a 65 percent off promo on the Jalapeno. According to Electronic Arts, they are working on other possible ports for "Plants vs Zombies 2."

'Pokemon Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire/Leafgreen' Version

Who says you can only play Pokemon on the 3DS? While 3DS players are still enjoying their "Pokemon X and Y," you can also have fun with pocket monsters in the free Pokemon games that Android is recently offering.

With any of the "Pokemon" variations---Emerald, Sapphire, Leafgreen or Ruby---you can collect, trade and fight Pokemons. According to Google Play, "Pokemon Emerald" requires you to stop Team Magma and Team Aqua from taking over Hoenn. You'll also be facing off in single-player modes as well as multi-player battles.

'Dungeon Keeper'

A gaming app also created by Electronic Arts, "Dungeon Keeper," is just starting to roll out on the Android. Australia is one of the first countries where the app will first launch.

"Dungeon Keeper" is another tower defense game, but this time, you will be faced with diabolical forces who act as your minions to protect your treasure. This is basically replacing the plants with the devil's forces and a strategy game in the basic context as "Plants vs. Zombies 2."

Android Police reports that "Dungeon Keeper" will be a free-to-play game, though in-app purchases will be necessary for upgrades that can also be obtained through a number of ways for those who don't want to spend cash on the game.

For now, it is only available in Australia, Singapore and Canada but is reported to be headed to other territories as well.

'Spirit Stones'

Part RPG and part collectible card game, Spirit Stones is a free-to-play game that puts your strategic and RPG skills to the test. You can create your best line up of heroes to assemble a great team, which you can then level up for even more power.

In addition, you can also enter Hellgate and play with your friends to penetrate the fortress. "Spirit Stones" also holds a global tournament every week, with a generous reward waiting for those who come out on top of the rankings.

'Combat Monsters'

Developer Rubicon has created another great game in the form of "Combat Monsters," which is a turn-based tactical game that makes use of collectible cards. Like any other card game, you have 100 monsters to collect and summon, with the monsters looking exactly what they are---but perhaps that is to be expected given the title of the game.

The strength of the game lies on the multi-player mode, where local and online fighters can face off up to six players. And since the game is supported by other platforms like iOS, PC and Kindle Fire, you can also battle against players with those devices, cross-play style.

It's a free-to-play game that makes use of strategy and luck. You need a bit of both in order to truly become one of the better players of the game.
