UFC 183’s Anderson Silva is disappointed at fellow Brazilian fighters, Lyoto Machida and Ronaldo Souza after the two revealed that they are open to fighting “The Spider”. Throughout the MMA career of Anderson Silva, he has been vocal about not fighting his friends and training buddies Lyoto Machida and Ronaldo Souza. In fact, Silva revealed that he would rather step aside and give “Jacare” and “The Dragon” a chance to achieve their championship dreams.

Apparently, albeit reluctantly, his fellow Brazilians do not share the same sentiment as they revealed that they are open to fighting Silva if it was for the belt. When asked if he is okay with what his friends said, Silva was not too happy. "Yeah, absolutely (it bothers me) because I go train with those guys I go to help them,” Silva said. “I put my 50-percent energy to help the guys. When the guys talk this, I am very, very, very disappointed.

According to UFC President, Dana White, if Silva gets through Nick Diaz at the UFC 183 on January 31, in Las Vegas, he will have a shot at the strap again. Although Silva was quite adamant in the past that earning a title is not his objective anymore, he claimed that he will fulfil his duty and fight for the belt. Silva said that as a part of the UFC Family, it is his duty to comply with Dana White.

Just recently, Anderson Silva commented on the drug issue of Jon Jones, who he claims as his friend. According to “The Spider” he is not different to Jones although he is not using drugs. He said that all people have problems and it is normal for Jones because he is young. He further said that Jones needs support and not criticisms at this time. Silva believes that incident will not tarnish the career of Jones rather it will give him the opportunity to change.
