LG recently confirmed the updates for LG Optimus 4X HD, Optimus L7, and Optimus L9 with Android Jelly Bean in the first half of 2013. XDA developers spotted the leaked update with version number V20A and currently under manufacturer's testing.

Some users have already downloaded and installed the update to their devices and noticed the battery life improvement, better network signal, and smoother. But installing the LG Optimus 4X HD update comes with some imperfections because it is still under beta testing.

The early Android 4.1.2. Jelly Bean update may lack some apps, OTC does not work, and the boot loader is still locked. Reinstalling an official firmware can be tricky if ever you get disappointed with the new software update. Until the update version is ready, it is safer to wait for the official release via OTA or PC suite.

For others who have used CyanogenMod, the developers are leading CM10 version for LG Optimus 4X HD. CyanogenMod 10 or CM 10 will bring a customised Android Jelly Bean to your device and LG Optimus 4X HD is an excellent subject with its compact design, display screen, and internal parts.

CM 10 for LG Optimus 4X HD is not fully working yet, which is common for early builds and the developers are having some troubles with all the embedded updates to the Google Search app in Jelly Bean. But CM10 will most likely to be available sooner than the official update from LG.
