Apple has apparently released 300 new iPhone emojis along with the iOS 8.3 software update. To be specific, a slew of emojis specific to kids, families, families with two women or men has been rolled out. Adding a cherry on top, the iPhone emojis’ colour/skin tone can now be changed by the iOS device users.
In order to play with the colour of the emojis, the iPhone users should apparently tap and hold an emoji icon to customise the skin tone. Also it is worth noting that, once the colour of the emoji is changed, the next time the user logs in, he or she will be seeing the emoji with the customised colour/skin tone instead of the default one, notes Culture Mob.
Downgrade iOS 8.3 To iOS 8.2
After installing the iOS 8.3, in case, the users do not like the new features, Apple has got it covered. The iOS 8.3 can reportedly be downgraded to iOS 8.2, according to Culture Mob.
Apple iOS 8.3 Jailbreak
As with other iOS updates, in case, Apple users are planning to opt for jailbreaking the iPhone or iPad, Culture Mob asks not to upgrade to iOS 8.3 in the first place. This is mainly because the iOS 8.3 jailbreak has not been released yet.
Battery Saving Tip
Although, the tech giant never specifies the apps that sap battery life out of the device, it reportedly allows Apple users to check the apps that consumed significant battery charge over a period of 24 hours or 6 days. With this feature, users can remove the unused apps that deplete the battery life by going to Settings -> General -> Usage -> Battery Usage.
Auto Delete Messages
Apparently, all audio and video messages sent via Apple iMessage will be automatically deleted from the iPhone or iPad within two minutes from the time the send button was clicked. This default setting can reportedly be changed by navigating to Settings -> Messages -> Audio Messages/Video Messages and switch off the expire setting.
iMessage As Text Message
In case, Apple users are unable to send iMessages over data connection, the same message can reportedly be sent as an SMS instead. In order to achieve this, navigate to Settings -> Messages and check the appropriate boxes.
Quick Access To Voice Message
In case, iPhone users are in a hurry, this particular option will come handy. To send a quick voice message, users can tap the new “mic button” that is located on the right side of the text box. This way, one can kick start the recording process and send the voice message quickly.
