The Apple iPad Air 3 is one of the most awaited products from the company. Even though Apple is not saying anything about the specifications and features of the iPad Air 3, a well-known market analyst has predicted it will be released in the first half of 2016.

During the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S launch event that was held in September this year, Apple had announced other products like the large-sized iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4. The Cupertino company did announce an iPad Air 3. Since then Apple is rumoured to release it early next year.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, the iPad Air 3 is likely to be released in the first half of the coming year, 9 to 5 Mac reported. The Apple iPad Pro features 3D Touch technology that enables the display to distinguish between lighter and deeper touch pressures on the display. It is one of the salient features of the recently released iPhone 6S and 6S Plus handsets.

Kuo has further said that the 3D Touch feature will not be coming to iPad Air 3. The main reason behind is that Apple is facing 3D Touch technology production issues. Rumours suggest that the iPad Air 3 will continue to support a 9.7-inch display.

Apple iPad Air 3 will be reportedly released with Apple A9X SoC that is also available on the iPad Pro. It will be fitted with an 8 MP camera. In March 2016, Apple is expected to hold a media event to announce the Apple iPhone 6C and Apple Watch 2 devices. Hence, Apple is expected to use the same platform to announce the iPad Air 3.

Kuo has also spoken about the next generation iPhones. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus release date will be reportedly set in September and it will continue to feature the same 3D Touch technology that is available on the predecessor iPhones.
