Lately, Apple iPhone 6 Plus is in the news for all the wrong because of its unsolicited fragility that causes accidental bending. Many mobile manufacturers took this as an opportunity to take a dig at the latest Apple phablet. It is worth noting that when Apple released iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the stocks were skyrocketing. However, now, the same stocks have taken a tumble because of the #Bendgate trouble acknowledged by Apple.

Apple stock fell 3.8 percent to US$97.87. This is apparently the lowest in a month and the fall is predominantly because of the quality concerns pertaining to the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. As a valued company and the huge market share that Apple holds, a very small point decline would shake the stocks in general. According to Apple, there are a total of nine complaints about iPhone 6 Plus's deformity. However, the trouble does not stop here, the company also rolled out an update to iOS 8 dubbed iOS 8.0.1 and reverted back due to another set of complaints from users who installed the update, reports FT.

Coming back to the companies that are having a gala time poking Apple, BlackBerry's CEO John Chen has quoted cheekily that the BlackBerry Passport will not bend like the iPhone 6. Notably, BlackBerry is upbeat with the introduction of the one-of-a-kind, square phablet Passport that comes packed with a physical QWERTY keyboard and costs $600, says Phone Arena.

Similar to BlackBerry, Samsung did not want to miss an opportunity to make fun of the #Bendgate. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has been compared to the Apple iPhone 6, mainly because of the metallic look, similarity in design and the 4.7-inch screen size shared by the Apple device. Apparently, Samsung's UK unit tweeted the following - "Galaxy Alpha + skinny jeans = no problem." The point to be noted however is that, the Galaxy Alpha is 6.7 mm thick. Meaning, it is thinner than the Apple iPhones.

Nevertheless, the accidental bending is not prevalent among the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model. Therefore, the smaller iPhone 6 is quite sturdier when compared to the phablet iPhone 6 Plus. Moreover, interested readers can buy the Galaxy Alpha for $199.99 under contract, starting September 26 from AT&T, according to Phone Arena.

Another newsworthy item on the #Bendgate is the Apple iPhone 6 repair kit. Readers should check out these cheeky tweets for a good laugh:
