Microsoft's latest addition to the wallet-friendly Lumia series of phones is the Nokia Lumia 735 (also referred to as "Microsoft Lumia 735" and "selfie phone"). This handset will be released in the UK on Oct. 2. Even though there is no information available yet on the outright price of the Lumia 735 in the UK, GSM Arena reports the device will be available for a contract price of £20 per month.

Apparently, Lumia 735 will be the first handset to run Windows Phone 8.1 OS with the Lumia Denim update in the UK, straight out of the box. The device will come with a 4.7-inch AMOLED display complemented by a screen resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels and pixel density of 312 ppi. The Lumia smartphone will be powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) Cortex-A7 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz, and will be backed by 1 GB of RAM, according to GSM Arena.

The Lumia 735 is equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity with microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. When it comes to camera, there is a 6.7 MP rear-facing unit with LED flash and the famous Carl Zeiss optics for crystal-clear, quality images. Also, this handset is a selfie-lovers' fantasy device as it features a 5 MP wide-lens secondary camera. Its cherry on top is the beta version of the digital personal assistant "Cortana," which is part of the device for UK users. Apart from the standard connectivity options, the smartphone also supports NFC and 4G LTE.

Additionally, interested readers can purchase Lumia 730 with dual-SIM and non-LTE support. The handset will be available in orange, green, white and black. GSM Arena claims that Microsoft officially announced that the Lumia 735 will be available from all major network carriers.

According to earlier reports, the Nokia Lumia 730 (Dual-SIM variant) will be priced at €199, which translates to approximately US$252, AU$287 and £155. On the other hand, the Lumia 735 (4G LTE model) will set you back by €219, which roughly translates to US$278, AU$315 and £170.
