Apple iPhone 6C design details revealed: Metal-clad iPhone in six colors; prototype device images also surface
The Apple iPhone 6C, a 4-inch smartphone from the Cupertino company, is expected to get announced in the first quarter of 2016. Designer Ferry Passchier has come-up with 3D renders of the metal-clad iPhone 6C in multiple colours. Moreover, a dummy unit of the small-sized iPhone has also surfaced.
On his Facebook page, Passchier has created 3D renders of the iPhone 6C in multiple colours. The smaller iPhone 6C bears a resemblance to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. It is said to be an upgraded edition of the iPhone 5S and like the iPhone 5C it will be arriving in numerous colour options.
The iPhone 6C 3D renders shows the handset in six colours like blue, pink, rose gold, gold, silver and gray. The renders show the iPhone 6C sporting five colours of the sixth generation iPod Touch.
Three photos of a prototype model of the Apple iPhone 6C have also been revealed by German tech site, Nowhere Else. The prototype appears quite similar to the iPhone 6C in the 3D renders made by Passchier, Digit reported.
The iPhone 6C is reportedly going to arrive with a 4-inch display. It will be fueled by Apple's A9 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. It will arrive with a native storage of 16 GB. The Home button will feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. and the phone will also be equipped with a 1642 mAh battery, 9 to 5 Mac reported.
The Apple iPhone 6C will be priced around $400-$500 (AU$566-AU$708). In March this year, the Cupertino company is expected to organise a launch event to announce Apple iPhone 6C as well as other devices like iPad Air 3 and Apple Watch 2.
The iPhone 6C will hit the shelves by April after it gets announced in March. The Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus smartphones are expected to get unleashed in September this year.
