Apple iPhone 7 concept phone shows stunning metal design without headphone jack [VIDEO]
The rumour mill has been constantly churning out leaks saying there will be no 3.5 mm audio jack on the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones. The iPhone 7 concept model built by German designer, Arthur Reis, showcases how the device will appear without the audio jack.
The concept model of the iPhone 7 created by Reis shows the smartphone in a full-metallic chassis. It shows the smartphone in four colours - space gray, silver, gold and rose gold. However, the most striking feature of the concept model is its lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The headphone jack has instead been replaced by an additional speaker grille. Early speculations suggest that in order to listen to music on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, users will either have to make use of Bluetooth headphones or connect a wired earphone to the Lightning port.
The arrival of the new speaker grille indicates that it will be first iteration from the Cupertino company to release an iPhone with stereo speakers. Reis also claimed through the concept model that the devices will be arriving with newer features, like support for Bluetooth AirPods, Force Touch equipped Home Button, AMOLED display, wireless charging and waterproof chassis.
Since Apple has been criticised for providing protruding back cameras and antennae bands on the back panels of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus for two generations, the iPhone 7 will be launched with a non-protruding camera and without antennae lines, Yahoo Tech reported. The iPhone 7 concept edition by Reis does not feature them either.
Another acclaimed designer, Herman Haidin, also recently revealed a concept version of the iPhone 7. His design reveals that the iPhone 7 will be coming with a similar design to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus smartphones, but will be sport a metallic chassis made from liquidmetal material.
