Apple Watch Models Become Available For Online Orders

A look in the Apple Watch online store shows that most models are in stock. This means that the new models of Apple’s wearable device are immediately available for shipping, or may require a wait time of just one business day before they’re mailed. This is a huge difference from the initial launch of the Apple Watch in April, when online buyers had to wait several weeks for some editions, and even up to a month for other variants to be delivered.

The company’s first wearable device, the Apple Watch, is available in three variants. The entry-level Sport version sells for as low as $349, the Apple Watch sells for as low as $549 and the Apple Watch Edition starts at a $10,000.

The Apple Watch is proving beneficial for the company. Just last June, research firm Slice Intelligence calculated that Apple had sold at least 2.79 million Apple Watches since the initial release on April. Apple is making nice profit on its cheapest model, the Sport. In April, IHS estimated that it costs about $83.70 to make the Sport version which sells for $349.

The duration of how long the watches reach the consumers doorstep depends on the version and the price tag. The $349 Sport edition is in stock and is readily available, but the $399 version of the Sport shows a one-day wait time. The $549 Apple Watch also has immediate availability, and the $599 edition will also require a one-day wait period.

As for the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition with the rose gold case and white sport band, buyers will have to wait for 3 to 5 business days. The yellow gold case and black sport band version of the same $10,000 watch will ship after about 5 to 7 business days. The $12,000 will also have a wait time of 3 to 5 days.

Ordering online is not the only option for those interested in purchasing the watch. Apple opened up reservations for in-store purchases for the watch last June. The watch can also be bought from boutiques and retailers around the world.
