Top Rank Executive Bob Arum is not bothered about the reports claiming how remarkable Floyd Mayweather Jr. is at training camp. The veteran promoter recently revealed that a snitch has told him that Mayweather is not really as remarkable in training camp, contrary to what the undefeated fighter’s associates say.

Arum spoke with Boxing Scene/New Standard and said that they were getting reports saying that Mayweather is “not looking great” in training camp. However, Arum reportedly then mentioned that the 38-year-old fighter still has a few more weeks left in him before fight night comes.

Arum’s statements came after Mayweather’s camp has released videos of the Grand Rapids native boxer, where the undefeated pound-for-pound fighter was having a few rounds and hammering an unidentified southpaw sparring mate. Mayweather’s other sparring mates, namely Don Moore, DeMarcus Corley and Zab Judah, have all attested that the brash American was impressive at training camp.

Meanwhile, American journalist Katie Couric stopped by at the Mayweahther Boxing Club to watch Mayweather train for the May 2 fight regarded as the biggest event in the history of boxing in recent years. Couric even shared a clip that she took while Mayweather was hitting pads in his gym.

In a video posted on Mayweather’s official Facebook page, Couric said that she thought Mayweather was in very good shape. She said that Mayweather has “extraordinary endurance” and was “graceful” during the training session when the media was allowed to take a peek in. Following Mayweather’s workout, he sat down with Couric for an interview.

“It was fun to watch him (Mayweather) jump rope and just work his way around the ring,” Couric said. “The guy can hit too, yikes.”

Mayweather has been sharing videos and photos on her social media accounts from his training camp to keep his followers and supporters updated as he continue his preparations for the richest fight of the century. The unification showdown between him and Pacquiao that took almost six years in the making will be televised on a joint pay-per-view HBO and Showtime event on May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
